FAM Warehouse. Increase productivity and reduce stocking errors, simplify picking, and breeze through deliveries.

Efficiency, accuracy, and security should be the mantra for any warehouse. By utilising technology in your warehouse all three of these can become a reality with FAM Warehouse. Use inbound RFID scanning of cartons for quickly and accurate checking of shipments from your suppliers. Pick using wireless scanners for outbound scanning of deliveries to customers and perform stocktakes to ensure stock accuracy.

  • Goods In RFID
Off loading 40ft containers, checking and putting away the stock is a time-consuming task. With high volumes, it is almost impossible to manually 100% check all the items coming into your warehouse and the resulting inaccuracy in stock levels can lead to over selling or not selling something you do have but just do not know about.

With FAM RFID all items are tagged at the factory with RFID tags to enable them to be tracked through the business. As cartons are unloaded from the container, they are run through the FAM RFID Goods In scanner cage and checked vs the purchase orders on the shipment.

If the suppler has short packed a carton or included more of a particular size, then the system will pick this up and your stock accuracy will improve. Individual cartons can be flagged to be manually checked if a discrepancy is found to check for missing of damaged tags.

For smaller shipments, where RFID tags are not in use, EANs or UPCs can also be used to scan into the warehouse.

  • Picking customer orders
Wireless handheld scanners can be used in the warehouse to pick customers orders. If the wrong item is scanned, then the operative is informed, and the correct item can be located. For larger orders the pick can be packed into cartons as the items are picked to generate a full packing list for the customer.

The scanners tell the picker the location of the next item to be picked and route the picker around the warehouse in the most efficient manner.

  • Stocktaking
Stocktakes can be performed using RFID or traditional scanning of barcodes. RFID is perfect for retail store locations to allow whole stores to be checked, or individual styles can be checked using partial stocktakes.

The warehouse can be fully or partially checked using a combination of scans or manually counts if required.
